The TV display app
For Amazon Fire TV and Android TV
Put your schedule on a TV in the staff area — no login on the screen, never sleeps, comes back on its own after a power cut. Staff scan the QR codes it shows to claim open shifts from their phones.
Install on a Fire TV (about two minutes)
- On the Fire TV, open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. (If you don't see Developer Options: Settings → My Fire TV → About, then click the device name seven times.)
- From the Fire TV's app store, install the free Downloader app (the orange one). Open it and allow the permissions it asks for.
- In Downloader's address box, type: selfieshifts.com/display.apk and press Go. When the download finishes, choose Install, then Open.
- The app shows a four-character pairing code. On your phone or computer, sign in to Selfie Shifts, go to Settings → Displays, type the code, and name the TV. The TV switches to your schedule on its own.
Using the remote
- ← / → — previous / next panel. 1–4 jump straight to a panel.
- Select — pause on the current panel (press again to resume).
- Back — previous panel. Hold Back for two seconds — unpair this TV (it returns to the pairing code).
Good to know
- Choose what each TV shows, and how long each panel stays, under Settings → Displays. Unpair a TV from there any time.
- The app relaunches itself when the TV powers on. If it doesn't on your model, just open it once from the Apps row.
- To update the app later, repeat step 3 — the new version installs over the old one and your pairing is kept.
